Death Valley, CA
Average winter high temperature are around 69 degrees while temperatures in the summer can reach 128 - the valley lives up to it's name in the summer. Some areas are over 280 feet BELOW sea level and others are above 10,000 ft. Relics from the days of the 20-mule team and the borax mining industry are everywhere but still, the most amazing aspect is the scenery.
